Sheryl Crow is a P90Xer! Sheryl Crow gives credit to her great shape to P90X while being interviewed at the Grammy Awards on February 8th. A friend of her introduced her to the program and it sounds like she’s joined the P90X tribe. The E! Channel interviewer, Giuliana, turns to the camera and encourages viewers to “Google it…P90X“. Wow, that type of celebrity endorsement is priceless. Here’s the video that Youtube user, CDaikeler posted today. Hmmm CDaikeler, could it be Carl Daikeler (CEO of Beachbody.com)?

I typically use dumbbells and a chin-up bar for Chest and Back, today I relied on an exercise band that my wife had purchased in the past and my push-up stands. We brought the portable DVD player for the kids so I used that to watch Tony and the gang go through the workout.
The bands just didn’t seem to provide the same tension on my muscles through the entire range of motion like the free weights provide. The other thing I didn’t like about the bands is that the tension was different everytime I did the exercises that I needed to step on the band to shorten the distance of the band. With a dumbbell the resistance is always the same.

“All it takes is an hour a day to get in the best shape of your life”. That’s what the Beachbody site claims. Not really true. The Yoga X workout, the longest of the workouts, will consume one hour and 32 minutes of your day. Most of the other workouts are about and hour, but on some days you’ll do one workout and follow it up with Ab Ripper X. That P90X workout consists of 15 minutes of gut busting ab and core exercises without a single break in the routine. Although the P90X program is marketed as a program that only requires an hour a day, the facts are it’s going to be a little more. If your looking for an exercise that’s quick and easy, P90X is not for your. Beachbody offers a couple other programs that are much shorter and are geared for the beginner. Read more

http://www.p90x.asia P90X Review Core Synergistics (Day 54 - Phase 2)

Core synergistics is one of those P90X workouts that start out slow and fairly easy and work into a heart pounding, muscle pumping exercise routine. I’m at the end of my recovery week and although I miss not pumping iron like the other workouts, these unique combinations still provide a challenge. One of the benefits I experienced rather quickly after I started P90X was an increase in energy level. I’m not sure if it was this or because I only had X Stretch yesterday, but last night I was going a little stir crazy. I just felt like I needed to do an extra P90X routine to expend the energy. I even had trouble winding down to go to sleep. I don’t think I’ll have that problem tonight, you really get a workout with Core Synergistics.

Day 57 of my P90X journey, rounding the bend and heading for the home stretch. I can’t believe this fun and games will be finished in about a month. I’m looking at other people’s blogs to see what most people have done after they finish the 90 days to get an idea to build on the progress I’ve made so far. Right now I’m thinking of just doing P90X again with more modifications.
